Bummer to hear of the tough break, Timmy.

I had to ride 400 miles home w/ my left foot snapped off after a m/c accident last summer. If there's anything I learned it's that healing is a winter time thing... when it happens in summer it ruins the outdoor season.

Hope you're back to right PDQ and if there's a good thing to keep in mind it's that it'll feel better when it quits hurtin'.

Happy chilly Thursday to all. Out burning some morning tobacco in the Banjo Paterson. Guess its an International morning... Australian hat, Irish made Peterson Canadian pipe, A light English style tobacco made in Denmark (Peterson Early Morning Pipe). Big cup of dark roast coffee on the patio with a good smoke at sunrise chases the chill away and gets me ready for the sunshine

With 4” more forecasted this morning, not planning on going out. But, if I did, I’d be wearing my latest purchase. Bought it on EBay, a Knox Americana in a Homburg style. The seller purchased it from an estate sale at the home of a German Family in Indiana that had been there since the late 1700s. The member of the family holding the sale said that it was his great-grandfather’s who said that he died in 1950. I’m going to take it this weekend to Henry the Hatter’s in Detroit where my family has bought and had hats repaired (women’s and men’s) for almost 100 years!

"NEUHEIT" "SPITZENKLASSE" "EXTRA FEIN" Velour, possibly 1930s. I haven't worn this one in awhile but it's one my favorites. Really interesting liner design with reeded pipping. I can't say for sure but I have a strong feeling it was made by Friedrich Steinberg Herrmann & Co. Hutfabrik Luckenwalde / STECO.
