"NEUHEIT" "SPITZENKLASSE" "EXTRA FEIN" Velour, possibly 1930s. I haven't worn this one in awhile but it's one my favorites. Really interesting liner design with reeded pipping. I can't say for sure but I have a strong feeling it was made by Friedrich Steinberg Herrmann & Co. Hutfabrik Luckenwalde / STECO.

Here you can see the exposed reed used in the liner pipping.

Again and again: wonderful hat, Steve! In fact, so much depends on experience (and you have a lot of it!), so that you get a feel for things and then you can't explain some of them (you often read that in Daniele's posts, for example) . With this “very likely STECO” I can even understand the feeling...

Unbelievably bright orange sky at sunrise here this morning. Tried to take a good picture, but by the time I threw on the Open Road and got out there it was starting to fade. Went from totally orange to this in about 30 seconds. Its was almost a "flash" Oh well it was cool. Have been playing with a new phone lately and discovered it has a lot of photo editing options the old one didnt have. My favorite is the "Blur Background" one... it can really change the view

And once again I didnt notice the wind cord out of place before pictures lol Suppose I need to snug this one up a bit. Hazard of storing the hats upside down on the rack I guess!
