Thank you, Robert. Glad to see you Sunday best got to see some sunshine. Perfection as always.
Thanks Stefan, it was certainly bright sunshine, bitter cold though. As Tina said, after taking the photo, "Get your coat on or get back indoors, you silly old poseur." I do love her, really.
As always, Robert, you are the epitome of debonair.
Debonair, me! Thank you Mark I appreciate that, I'm loving the Stetson, I have something very similar that I had made for a wedding.
Very dapper as usual, sir.
Dapper, well thank you Joe, you're too kind.

New hat for the new year. Been keeping an eye out for a proper wool flat cap. Found this one yesterday. Fit real good. Then got a haircut. Looking forward to seeing how much difference 100% wool to polyester feels. This is a Christy’s of London cap.

Good to see you around, Johnny.

Great looking Christy's cap. Love the colour and cut of it.

Today's wear is also my newest: a Nutria Quality Stetson, in stunning bluish-grey. 3” brim, 6.5” open crown (4.5” as creased now), and a 2-ply band. It’s nearly mint, and features the lining with a red-shirted, mounted, cowboy, whose horse is kicking up a cloud of dust.

I don’t generally care for “brim up all around” shapings, but at least for now, I’m going to honor this one’s heritage by leaving it as is. In honor of the lining, I think I’ll call this one “Dusty.”

Stetson Nutria a.jpg wedding - Copy.jpg
The hat I love, both your's and mine, but what a disaster the suit was. My tailor warned me not to have pure linen, ten minutes on and it looks like I have slept all night in it.
That Hawaiian themed wedding was that of the female lead singer of: Miss Annie & The Midnight Shift. The band is on Youtube but I am not posting a link.
Miss Annie lost her battle with breast cancer. We all miss that lovely lady.

That's a rocking introduction to 2025, Stefan! I'm going with the Wehrmeier in first place (that brim binding and over-stitching!!), the Barbisio Cow Boy in second. and the Portis in third. Thanks for another awesome Sunday morning display!
Here we go! Huckel #1 grabbed my eye… not that Huckel #2 is any slouch. But that Portis is one I wait for!
Thanks, guys. That Stetson nutria is a stunner by the way, Mark.

Getting cold here. With pretty brisk winds I switched to a wool cap for the afternoons pipe and tennis ball session. The dog has a good coat, but I needed something to keep the head warm. Picked this one up in Dublin many years. Cant remember who made it, but its wool, its warm, and thats all I care about!

Your gaining quite a reputation, Mark. With your growing collection, we may have to give you your own thread!

Well.... its wintertime in East Texas! Its a Hat AND scarf morning. Decided that a nice heavy Stetson Key Club looked warm

It got a little colder than predicted overnight.... Guess we will see how that fares for thursdays predicted cold and wet event. Weather guy said this morning that the snow / sleet line for thursday has moved further south. Kinda hoping we DO get some snow. Mr Moose gets a serious case of the zoomies when snowflakes are falling. Always entertaining!
