This morning, my Akubra Snowy River got a bit grubby while water blasting the stairs.

Later, it was my Akubra Cattleman for grilling mackerel, veggies and onigiri rice balls on the barbecue.

Mayser "Grosser Preis" / M. Mertés Hutfabrik, Inh. Max Hecht Nürnberg possibly later 1920s. This is a very unique Mélange Stiff Felt. The Mélange is mostly different shades of Gray maybe a tinge of Red other unknown Colors. The finish is Rauh like but the hand is very soft.

Unique means “one of a kind,” and you can't modify that; it's either unique or it's not, just like the lady is either pregnant or she's not. She is not somewhat pregnant, kind of pregnant or even very pregnant.

Randy, Yes, something like a heather felt but the finish is not smooth and it has a soft hand (I think it's Fur Felt). You might be able to see that in the photos. I have one other similar Stiff Felt (but could be a Fur - Wool or Wool) from an Austrian company (see below). I don't think there any other similar Stiff Felts here on the FL.
