My Kennedy-era Rogers Peet hat. The felt on this hat is so beautiful—a very warm grey that is thick and soft but has the perfect crumple quality. I’d like to have one of these in every brim size but dig this 2 1/4 for it’s jaunty look.

That one's great: Not only that you show us again an unusual Melone in a fantastic brown, but I as a Leipziger like of course the local history especially. Witzleben was a master furrier, as there were many in the European metropolis of the fur trade Leipzig. The hat was sold in the associated fashion store, but is - as you surely know - certainly sourced from elsewhere. Unfortunately, the Bismarckhaus no longer exists, as it fell victim to WW II:

Matt, Thank you! Yes, I haven't been able to determine the source Hat company. I have some info on Witzleben on my website. Yes, it's very unfortunate that the Bismarckhaus was destroyed in WWII.
