Not quite sure what I have here but I picked up a nice 1960s Royal Stetson in Green Olive Drab with what I believe to be a Cavanagh edge?
It has the appearance of the Ivy League style with the smaller brim just short of 2 inches. Anyone here have an idea of what this one is?
The logo on the band is rubbed out but enough of the indentation left to make out the words Royal Stetson and on the other side I can just make out Blackburn's Dept. Store West Jefferson NC.
In really decent shape. Paid $28.00. I had to have it as Olive Drab is my favorite color! :p

Yep, not a Cavanagh edge but an overwelt. Most of these hats didn’t have the model name printed on them so it’s next to impossible to identify the exact model on a 50+ year old hat.

Happy birthday! Since AARP says you qualify for membership at 50 I’m assuming that’s what you turned! The way you’re living you’ll live forever. :)
Thanks Brent
When I was 50 and AARP wanted me to join I refused. I used to say that you are only as old as you feel, but that was what was worrying me. Today I feel better than I did 15 years ago and gladly joined AARP.
