Another blue beauty!Sunday chasing the sunrise to get started with escapades found me sport'n a Monson blue felted fedora with a gill ribbon treatment. This has an excellent felt. The tall crown height of the felt allows me to crease it in order to hide the 50's "popular" tapered crown.
Back home and sipping coffee on the deck I wore a FL version of the Akubra CD (it has a 2.5" brim). Terrific hat. I struggle with the ribbon ends as they get distorted quickly.
Check it out rain drops! Let it rain, let it pour.
I removed the liner on this hat as when I get to working while wearing it the plastic tip of the liner would collect condensation and drip on my bald head. The liner protected the inside felt so well it spills all humidity back onto me. Winter snow removal is the worst as the water on my head cools quickly and gives me the chills. Hence - no liner for me.
No time like the present to move some mulch. The needed rain has me changing to a Tilley hat.
Cheers to all, Eric -
