Love it, Reggie!

Missed the light of day for today’s hat shot.
Please accept my application for admission to the thin ribbon club.

I am thankful to be able to type this post after my knuckles matched my hat for 8 hours on the road yesterday.
Me and the band made it to the gig and it turned out to be a great show. I don’t think I want to drive in those conditions again, though.
My Texas Hatters silver belly derby and heavy Irish tweed overcoat stood up well in the high winds and fiercely blowing interstate snow.

They are my favorite flowers along with a Borsalino
CaffeBor settembriniR.jpg

Borsalino Qualità Extra Superiore size is 6 or 7 3/8 US
CaffeBor 7 R.jpg

The color of the felt is "Caffè". Felt has a medium weight and it is more firm than usually on the Borsalino
CaffeBor 4 R.jpg

It is not so old, made probably in the seventies. It arrived quite new
CaffeBor 1 R.jpg
Have a nice Saturday, here, Verona, it is a bright and mellow day
CaffeBor 2 bis R.jpg
Thanks for the yesterday likes and for the other appreciation during the week
Buona Domenica!

Hat and Hogs. Getting my requisite "hund'erd dollars" of parts and checking out the new bikes at Kent's Harley Davidson in Abilene, TX today. Window shopping under a chocolate and burgundy Phoenix Hat on this very pleasant (finally!) fall day in Texas.

Nice work by Rick, Randy. I like these shallow flange brims. Lovely.

Produzione Albertini 1817 - Intra - Italia. "Argo" is the name of the hat
View attachment 188517
The felt is soft and with an amount of wool inside, the color is "Nocciola". This is one of the oldest hats I have in my collection from the "lake hatters"
View attachment 188518
Albertini was the first hats producer in Italy to use machinery, it merged in Panizza probably before the WWII even if there are many hats producers on the Lago Maggiore that went into the Panizza arms during the years

Small note for connoisseurs of English hats: look for the Albertini heirs in Luton, it's an interesting story

I wish you a good day and I want to tell you that I do not comment on the many magnificent hats that appear here every day, I have linguistic difficulties and I often know very little about American headwear in order to express opinions.
Wonderful looking hat, Daniele. I really like that colour and I think I had a Panizza once in that shade.

Decisions, decisions.
On this Day of Atonement, what’s best for the holiday?!
(I probably should’ve started fasting last week...)

Should have pulled out the Stylepark TEMPLEFORM!! I went with the dove, dudes.

May you all be inscribed for a super year in the Book of Life!!
With hats like that no fasting is needed, Charlie. They count as full indulgence!

I was reading about Vicuñas last night, and remembered to wear my Churchill 100.
It says 'BEAVER "100" MADE WITH VICUÑA'.
I wonder what percentage is vicuña. Vicuñas are supposed to have hollow hair, so I guess it would be possible to make a count.
What I do know is that the felt is outstanding.

Maybe they meant that Vicunas just helped making the hat, Max:D
