That makes sense. However, the hat was bought new and stored in its own box ever since: no stacking. The felt sure isn’t thin, and it’s not a particularly tight fitting hat either. Hmmm.

Okay, It's been a 25 week so far, but I just had to get out the 100 today. This hat is so amazing, I changed the crown crease in about 5 minutes when I first arrived at work this morning! I tried another horsehair hat band today, also with tassels! The one yesterday generated so many comments, I thought we'd see what we could come up with today!

Now...about those hats.
I too, noted the softness of the 100’s crown. To die for. Many of the upper tier Stetsons are so rigid. If i had your’s, heck i’d wear it with tassels everywhere. If i got de-tasseled here, i’d just switch to a feather for further abuse. Lol

I do like your 25 and 100 brim style. Great hats. Thanks for being a good sport.

Michael, I was wrong about the Rehfus & Cie. "Zephyr" weight. I missed Stefan's and his weighed in at 103 grams with liner. It appears to me the Rehfus & Cie. "Zephyr" have smaller crown dimensions, at least compared to my Negratti "Adonis". Also both the Rehfus & Cie. "Zephyr are smaller hat sizes.

Very kind words, and I appreciate very much. I learned a long time ago, people will pick at you and make fun. My Dad being the biggest one of all! He was a great guy and a real card. Anyway, you know how it was when we were kids. So I figured out that I could do stuff to make others laugh, and I have gotten along with people ever since. Might as well laugh at yourself, then others don't mind so bad when you pick or laugh at them!
I have never thought anyone here has meant any harm, if I had, I wouldn't be here. So I will hang around, as I have learned quite a bit on these pages. Perhaps it's not anything life altering, but things that I didn't previously know. And if I can learn something, and maybe make someone laugh, and maybe give them a smile, then I'm all in.
Oh, and by the way, I've been picking up bird feathers from the back yard, you never know!!!

I think this must be one of the most supportive sites on the net. There are no trolls, no experts trying to make others look stupid. No derogatory comments. Sometimes joshing comments, but never derogatory.
Robbie, you're spot on. I've learnt a lot from the FL, too. Any ribbing is friendly meant and respectfully done.
Your hat looks like it would suit a feather ribbon with a tassel bow. I'd never have gone for it, but might now if I had a super hat like the type of yours. You've broadened my hat horizons.
