Today....it’s a black Premiere Strat, circa 2014. Actually a nice attempt at revisiting the golden years of vintage Strats. Makes me want a vintage black one.
Be well. Bowen

That would be quite a find, but this modern is nice looking. Interesting ribbon treatment.

Yes, I have a lot of catching up to do. The remodel did come to an end, but so did my back. Blew it out moving back in (probably a box of books), then off to limp around New Orleans. I have some great images to post in that thread. The hat room is basically the same, just more organized.

Wow! I want a hat room like that, Mike. Congrats. Hats, books, and theatre. I think we have a thing or three in common [emoji4].
Hope your back gets better soon.

If only my hat room was this organised! Very nice, Mike. Thanks for the like on the hats; it's a joy to be able to pick out any hat from the collection and know it's going to be a nice one.

Love the finish on that porker. Good to see you.
Thanks Red. It does have a pretty stellar finish. Good to see you back.

Been out of the loop for a while. I miss the hatlove, discussing it with the wife is just not the same. Have some new hats to get posted. In an exchange with the Holland Connection I came up with a wonderful heather finish homburg. This Wilson (English manufacture) is a dream. The felt is supple and clay like. The liner reads like a book. Lots to love about this one. I've got to take some detail photos and post it (catching up!) I wore it to rehearsal for the play I'm stage managing last night. I'll be getting out the black hats for a few weeks though. I'm thinking it may be early 1950s.

And what a nice hat to make your comeback with. That is a beauty.

Nice hat,Michael. Can you elaborate a little more on that porkpie’s story. Style-Rite?

Can't really tell you anything about Style-Rite Haven't been able to find any info. I know someone here posted a Beaver 20 by them a few years ago. I found this one at my favorite vintage store here in town. It's a nicely made hat with a sewn in pleated liner and great finish.

Sharp Dressed Man as always Michael!!!:) A great match with the get up outfit!!

Wear it Well!
Rodney
Thanks Rodney. I passed on this one a few times over the winter. Glad I finally decided to get it. Has a great sheen in the sun.

It would be sacrilege! The Stetson looks nice too, but the Marathon and suede jacket is a winning combo, Michael.
Thanks Stefan. I decided to keep them both safe, but I think I will pull out that combo on one of these next cool days when nothing dangerous (hat wise) is planned.

Yesterday and today; multiple hat days.

You sure don't make it easy to pick a favorite. All great. I do love the binding on the Mallory, but the Rat Gondin looks like such a sweet felt.

Thanks all,
Michael
