I hope in 4 years time, you're able to stand in line to vote the first Tuesday in November so other voters can see whatever wonderful hat you choose to wear

Another great looking hat, Bill. Spot on.

J. Hückel ´s Söhne "Flexible" "Seal Velour", probably later 1930s. The color is a Dark Chocolate Brown that absorbs all light so very difficult to photograph. This hat had a Crease Clip because there is a deep crease is still present in the Crown.

J. Hückel ´s Söhne Promo Pocket Mirror from Huthase (from the same time period) with a similar style hat (Color, Form).

Well, if it's time for the heather felts, it's time for the velours as well. A prime example, Steve.

Fresh from a naptha bath, leather conditioning and some steam this hat's good to go for adventures.

Thin ribbon Thursday for me.

I like the Knox button detail on the windcord.

5 inch crown (4 1/4 to center dent)

2 inch black grosgrain ribbon

2 inch brim to curl with 5/8 matching grosgrain binding

1 3/4 brown sweatband


A real nice 1950s Dobbs Homburg in black. At 7 1/4 This one is a bit too big for me so it will probably be moving along to a new home.

I haven’t been able to find an opportunity to wear my wool Hornskov yet, so today I’m wearing it at home. It may be wool, but it’s beautiful to the touch - soft and malleable...is that what you call “hand”?
