VS Dualist yesterday. The brim is very light and malleable sand colored felt, and the crown is natural Milan wheat straw. I keep the hat with the brim flat on a table, and the band block used to make it inside. The trade winds have died off for several day now, it is hot and muggy, but the swimming is always good.

Went on a long hike after work. Even let the dog drink from my hat!
This one is an older probably 60's Stetson. It's 5x or 6x. It originally came with a pencil curl that I took out. It was unique but I didn't care for the look on this hat. Color is tan. Looks lighter in the pic.
This hat has held up really well to rain and sweat through the last few years. I'm pretty impressed. It's been my summer hiking and mushroom hunting hat for a good while now.

I am heading out to remove some weeds from under a couple mature pine trees. A Stetson Stratoliner will be my head protection.

Cheers from an early Minnesota morning. Be safe, be strong and see you on the streets soon, Eric -

Hi all, yesterday I wore my Peters Bros. namesake hat #2, that I sweet-talked Anthony out of during The Great Purge. I forgot to take a pic, but just to jog your memory...

But that's not why I'm posting. I spent the day with my wife traversing the 127 Sale "The World's Longest Garage Sale," which is staged every August and vendors set up shop along US 127 from Michigan to, I think, Alabama. We made it from Hamilton, OH, to Greenville yesterday. My wife found a few nice things, but nada for me - no hats. However, on one of our last stops near Greenville, I spotted a collection @Blare may be interested in:

Waddya say, Joe? They're only about a half-hour north of me. I can go back and pick them up for you.

Tell me more about the cold brew coffee. I’ve had it once - on tap at a craft brewery when I was the driver. It was really nice. Does it require much in the way of equipment to make it yourself?

I am salivating gazing at your picture this morning. Looks like a terrific barbecue. I can smell it, without being present. Glorious! enjoy the eats.

Cold brew coffee is very easy. I use medium or dark roasted beans of choice ground medium (not fine or certainly not espresso), the amount of coffee grounds (70 grams weighted on a kitchen scale), goes into approximately 36 oz. of fresh water combined in a container that will go into the refrigerator for 12+ hours. After 12 + hours I strain it thru a metal strainer and then thru a brown (natural) coffee filter. It can store with taste for almost a full week. The nuances of the beans/roast are present for a few days and begin to diminish as the week progresses. The cold brew coffee is strong as I have outlined it. My wife dilutes the coffee with water. I do add ice cubes as I like the very cold taste of the strong brew. If I am drinking many cups, I add a splash of half and half (my local half and half is about 18% fat by weight). If I am skimping on breakfast I add a spoonful of natural sugar. With half and half and the natural sugar it taste like a breakfast shake! Often when I head to work in the early mornings I take a mug of this concoction and some hot dark coffee. Truly the best of all worlds. Definitly a 1st world luxury of taste in the early morning.

I headed out to the local butcher in a Monticristo from Newt.

Home I am starting some corn and bacon chowder. I am grilling the corn cobs while wearing a Cordova Cap.

Thank you for that. I will be sure to give it a go.
The picanha was excellent. I also cooked a loaf of bread with toasted cumin and fresh thyme, rosemary, oregano and sage from the garden. My first time doing bread on the barbecue and it turned out great. Picanha and grilled marinated vege sandwiches; so good!
As always I suffer severe hat envy with every one of your posts!
