What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Janyška "?" possibly late 1930s early 1940s. The model name on the paper label is blurred beyond recognition. As you can see the felt is really fantastic. This hat is from my May 2016 NOS Czech find.

This week I will highlight Janyška & Cie. from Czechoslovakia. Janyška & Cie. was started in the 1920s in Valašské Meziříčí – Krásno about 25 km from Nový Jičín (location of JHS, BB, AP). Janyška & Cie. was a Czech company based on Austrian hat tradition. Janyška & Cie. became Tonak Factory 2 post WWII and the factory was closed 1961.

I chose this Resistol Western 5X Beaver for the walk down the hill and along the coastal trail. I enjoyed the pastel trim against the muted colors just before sunset.

I haven’t been able to get the kids out of the house to save my life. The teacher puts it in today’s assignments to complete and suddenly my son want to go Pokémon hunting.

Thanks. My neighborhood gets a significant snow event in April and then we can move onto spring. I am hoping this is the significant event.
