Super hat, Randall.View attachment 214613 Takin me and my Dobbs Han-do-over out of town today.
Thanks you, Daniele. Not from Monza, but a German made one.Beautiful parade of hats, carissimo Stefan.
Valetini seems to me a Monza product even though I have never met one in my life with this brand
Thank you, Steve. Much appreciated.Stefan, Thanks! I really under dressed this hat.
Great series of hats from you. They are all really fantastic and worn with style!
Molto bello Alan, even if I do not like so much white hat, even if today I wore one
The Italians contradictions
Alan, Thank you! I wasn't sure the three hats would ever arrive. The seller was not in good health and very erratic but some how the hats made it. I remember your Borsalino - Black Sheep custom project. As usual Bob did fantastic work. It looks like a pre WWII Borsalino! Super!
Echter Borsalino "Bismuto" "Sanboca" date stamped May 17, 1929. The Berlin store Max Eckard that sold the hat did not survive WWII. This hat is in mint condition and one of three Echter Borsalinos from my April 2015 find.
The carton the hat was in is from a Berlin hat store Philipp Neubauer Berlin that survived WWII but not the locations listed.
Cork spacers that were in the hats. I failed to note which hats they were associated with.
A prototype for a custom project - later era Borsalino adapted by Black Sheep Hat Works.

Tim, Thank you! There is actually a second one that is in about the same condition.Wow, 1929, and that kind of condition. And super history.
Alan, Thank you for the clarification. It's really great work!<smile> - Thank you Daniele...I like the idea of a while hat more than I find a good occasion to wear one.
Thanks Steve. The project was a prototype for Garrett - I don't think he would mind me sharing the final version. The prototype I purchased from him does have a pre-war look, though the hat that was used is a later Borsalino - 1960s-1970s, I would guess.
