What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Brent, I really like your choice of color, both felt and ribbon, and the bow is very well chosen, and the hat looks very good on your head. Personal opinion: I would try to make a deeper and sharper crease, without the pinches on the crown, the hat would acquire a more massive aspect with its dimensions. It's just my advice from far away:)

Without “pinches on the crown?” I’m not sure what you meant there.

I have been thinking about deepening the crease. I think a deeper crease would give it some needed definition, but I don’t want to lose crown height. I’m still thinking.

Sorry, Fruno.
It was supposed to be humor. A sixties Strat brim is about an eighth to a quarter shorter than say, a forties Strat, right?
All brims regretfully got narrower in the sixties, even on the well famed hats that were previously wide brimmed. [emoji3062]
Don’t know who Joao is.

Sorry, I didn't get it. However, though there are certainly variatons, mos Strats are 5 1/2" x 2 1/2."

Joao is a member in Portugal. He hasn't posted in a while, but to him, anything less than 4" is stingy.

Rainy and chilly here today. Tweaking the Steton nutria a bit more while a thick Filson shirt keeps the elements at bay. Must be a bygone felt color. It doesn't match anything on my VS felt samples. Camel comes somewhat close. Now that the telescope crease is history, this will get alot more head-time

Looks better and better every time i see it.
The color is very nice. Not to dark, not to light. Just right!

Another cold rainy day here, so another vintage overcoat, this time in a Harris Tweed.

Matched with a 50's Mallory Dallas - love the Pliafelt !!

Whatever the color, it's an outstanding hat that has me jonesing for some classic nutria!

Thanks Joe.

It's so hard to tell colors from photos with the varying white balance on the cameras. Does look on my screen like it has a bit of plum to it.

That Wormser is a gem. Not that the Barbisio is to be sneezed at.

Does this count as anything, Bowen?

The north wind was a bit sharp today and I needed some earflaps while out on the bike. So this old Woolrich got the call.

Thanks, Michael. No one sneezes at my hats and even less on them! Getting ready for colder weather I see.
