Stetson 100% beaver. I’m not sure of the vintage but it is fairly contemporary. This is the one that was a size too big that my coworker gave to me from cleaning out his dad‘s closet. I had to work with it quite a bit for it to fit and for it to retain some kind of decent shape. And the dye was not fast; it’s steamed out all over my fingers. Anyway, I think I like it in this configuration.

Face the coming day in my stingy brimmed sixties Stratoliner. [emoji6]. Only 2 1/2 of mobile shade.
The perfect hat to wear while putting on a few shingles on a high Church rooftop.
Cloud cover and it’s just a patch job, won’t be up there long.

2 1/2" stingy? That's pretty normal for a Strat.

Have you met Joao?

Speaking of which, where's he been?

Brent, I really like your choice of color, both felt and ribbon, and the bow is very well chosen, and the hat looks very good on your head. Personal opinion: I would try to make a deeper and sharper crease, without the pinches on the crown, the hat would acquire a more massive aspect with its dimensions. It's just my advice from far away:)

Another cold rainy day here, so another vintage overcoat, this time in a Harris Tweed.

Matched with a 50's Mallory Dallas - love the Pliafelt !!

Great looking The Dallas and Harris.

Outstanding !! Looks like you're ready for a nice German Beer.

I'm heading to a little late Oktoberfest celebration myself this weekend in a little German town down by Austin with a great outdoor Biergarten and German Music and Food - Prost !!
A little Schnapps might suit the weather better. The later Oktoberfest should be fun and the weather maybe a little more German Oktober as well.

Thanks,
Michael

Sorry, Fruno.
It was supposed to be humor. A sixties Strat brim is about an eighth to a quarter shorter than say, a forties Strat, right?
All brims regretfully got narrower in the sixties, even on the well famed hats that were previously wide brimmed. [emoji3062]
Don’t know who Joao is.
