Thanks Dale. The thrifts are boom and bust, but you are welcome to visit any time. As predicted, the Noble Grand got some use this morning, along with another smoking cap.

I hear lots of drums banging. Seems there is some sort of big ballgame today. The thrifts should be empty. Ha ha.

Have a great Saturday,
Michael
Both are great outfits in their own way, Michael. My vote goes to the Knox though.

Darth Vader's holiday panama (not signed unfortunately)

It is in fact a very nice panama hat body. The seller had bought it decades ago in Ecuador and never got around to having a hat made out of it. I have some experience how this can turn out and a quality panama hat body is a no brainer anyway. Turns out it was a bit larger than I anticipated:oops::D
Need to switch to plan B.
Just give it a brim up Stefan.
Love to see that!!

Here’s my Knox Westlite. I think it’s from the late forty’s, early fifties.
Can y’all help me judge the date closer?
I don’t wear it enough considering how much I love this hat. I’m constantly talking myself out of steaming it into a diamond crease. The only reasons I haven’t is because this is the only cattleman’s crease I own and the crease is perfect. Must’ve been done originally, professionally?
I like near perfect creases. I know many here do not, but that’s just me.

A question, Stefan, who doesn't want to be absolutely provocative. The two hats (very beautiful) have a similar color and the shape also has similarities. Without being overshadowed by your passion for Borsalino what are the differences you find in the two hats?

Hard to tell age based on those pics. Any tags behind the sweatband?

Greetings All:
Today....it’s easy to get spoiled hat collecting. How often do we ignore or dismiss a fine hat so as to wear a favorite?
I know i do often and always feel obsessive when i remember those not worn.
So...a lovely old Strat that’s been lost in the crowd far too long rides the day.
Be well. Bowen

Sorry, should’ve known better. This is the only tag. How does one interpret tags to judge the age?
It’s a Knox Twenty, BTW. It’s got an oil skin liner and sweat blocker.
I was also wondering if y’all thought that this hat band was original. It wasn’t sewn to the crown when I got it, but the color matches the edge ribbon perfectly.
It was your super nice Knox Premier Westlite that made me run and put on mine!
