Broke out my federation today for working around the house and going to Lowes. A worker at Lowes said "can I have your hat" I could tell by the way he said it that he liked it rather than being smart. I do think if I had a contrasting ribbon of some sort I would wear it more often, it's just too black as it is now.[huh] the little thing on the crown is dust or a critter from outside, I don't know which.

I started the day in my Fed Deluxe IV, but by noon it was quite warm so I switched to my Diamante from Panama Bob. My head was cool for the rest of the day. Today was my wife's birthday...she's 39...again...she says [huh] [huh] . I told her I'd buy her some new clothes for her birthday, but I meant I'd pay for some new clothes. She misunderstood what I meant and listened to what I said, so I had to hike around malls all afternoon with her
