Blustery day and in need of supplies. Grab and go stingy for some aerodynamic protection. Borsalino Mirtillo from
the early 1960s gets some time in the wind.

Hey all!
"World's Finest" is a pretty lofty claim. Unless, of course, you can back it up.
This Dalton Genuine Beaver sure can!
Whether or not Dalton actually is the world's finest is a matter of opinion, but this one could certainly hold it's own in any hat competition.
Have a great day!

I didn't catch how cool that bow treatment was when you originally posted this one. The lines of this one are great, but the detail of that ribbon is spectacular! Good to see it in the light of day on your head.Hey all!

Looks like the sweat is in excellent shape. That felt does look wonderful, smooth and a great color. Nice one Richard.3X OR liner is long gone but the felt is pretty wonderful. This one has a 2 7/8” brim. I seem to be going more and more with some version of a cattleman on the ORs.

Mike, the sweat was a good one to start and is still in good condition. I need to do a little cleaning on the ribbon but, except for the liner, the hat is in excellent shapeI didn't catch how cool that bow treatment was when you originally posted this one. Thanks Jim! I'm certainly enjoying wearing it!I like that the more I see it, Moe. Are you going to attempt to revive the wind trolley?
Me too!Wow, that’s a great hat. I’d go a long with the “world’s finest” claim.

Great proportions and color. Love everything about it.After church with Sandra and daughter; wearing the dark navy Disney. I'd forgotten how much I love this hat.

Very nice. Does it really take a year to get one from them?Brass Rooster custom (just picked it up!) Color in the first photo is the most accurate. Love the vintage green band and binding. This will be one of my “band hats”.
Hopefully it’ll keep cooling down so I can pull out all my felts soon...

My mistake. I was thinking of Black Sheep Hat Works when I asked about 1 year waiting.Thanks. I have four from John. Only one I had him make and it took a month, maybe five weeks. Honestly I can’t see him saying a year either (now at least, not sure about the past). He’s good to work with but - to be fair - a bit pricey. He truly prides himself on unique customs and knows my somewhat eclectic tastes.
The one I just posted he had just posted on his Facebook page a few days ago. I happened to stop by to pick up a vintage hat he was re-sweating for me. It was there and, yup, just happened to be my size. I think he planned it. Ha.
