The combo always works. Nothing wrong with that hat: nice!$20 cheapie from Tijuana. White straw with a navy band. BRILLIANT. I want one in brown and black and white but like many thing in Mexico....when they arrive they arrive. You can't order them.

Qué bonito, MaestroAfter two days of clouds and rain it is summer again.
Hot during the day and fresh in the night
Panama made in Colombia
Large brim and a fine woven
The right hat for the first rays of sun
It is impossible to joke wearing some new hats arrived in these days
Thanks for you likes of the passed days.
Have a nice days
Beautiful. I am glad I never got into shoes! One can spend a real fortune there.Wearing a vtg. Dobbs Cross Country during my cross country travels this week.
A lightweight shapely beauty (referring to my hat of course) is a great traveling companion.
With Bob Hufford's assistance I did stumble into a Dobb's Salesman sample that is fortuitous in its coordinating match with my travel duds.
Best, Eric -

Keeping with the European Homburg theme in the cool mornings of late. I went ahead and dusted off the Mossant Diplomatique (it was in the same box as the Barbisio from yesterday) for a few errands this morning. Daniele thought this one was quite old, possibly just after WWII. Just something about a Homburg from Europe, great lines and construction. Of course this one came from Remes, on Rue le ba***rd!DSCN4373 crop by Michael A2012, on Flickr

Another big live music weekend here. Hope the weather cooperates.
Have a good one,
Michael
Great looking Portis, I think you can pull off these dimensions just fine. Hope the concert comes together.A moist day in Funkytown as well, and I'm lamenting the possible demise of a free outdoor Foghat show tonite.
Weathering the dampness under a Portis of "Sterling" quality. A bit of a smaller profile than I normally wear, but a great thin ribbon with excellent blocking and a fantastic fit and feel.

Very nice Dd! Are the "designed by" earlier than a Harry Rolnick product. I've seen both.Wearing the Resistol San Antonio, while it is cool this morning. This is one of my favorites.

As a Historian, I can appreciate your goal to match historic hats from our past. I think you did a great job. Great way to make an entrance, welcome to the Lounge.I can't wait for the weather to change so I can utilize and enjoy my hats again. In the meantime, I've been working on this one: an Etsy "bargain" that has never truly clicked for me. After finding inspiration in two places ( a biography of Oppenheimer and a pic of my great-great-great grandpa), I think I've finally found the shape it wants to be in .
Next project: I'm going to replace the ribbon and bow. View attachment 131435 View attachment 131436 View attachment 131437
Damn Justin, this hat looks so nice for it's age. It is truly impressive.1910s Stetson "Clear Nutria". Has a 7" open crown and a 4 3/8" brim. Widest brim I've ever owned. Decided i'll give it a shot and see how it looks. View attachment 131439 View attachment 131440 View attachment 131441

Nature's air conditioning today. A marine layer from the Pacific. Wearing my Barbisio Nutria slim brim Homburg to the doctor's office today. This hat has a wonderful hand. It says "Rat Gondin" in the logo, that is French for Nutria.
