Too funny Doc!!! By the way my Avatar is a painting called “Borsalino”.I know, but in my mind you looked like him. I never thought Bowen's avatar looke like Bowen, though.

Very nice one Max. It has the beginnings of a hollywood curl. Very popular in the 1930s. Side up and side down of the brim.I have a cold today, as you can see from the pictures. Was in bed all day, but I went out into my balcony to take these pics of my new to me Playboy. I just love the golden brown color of this felt and ribbon. Thin, very light felt.
I was so excited it was still available when I asked to buy it. I had to stretch it a little bit, and I know I have to keep the stretcher on for a few days so it won't shrink back, but it feels perfect now.

Some example of interesting ribbon and bow on hats with "difficult" dark greyThank you Daniele.
Any chance you have a photo of such a hat you could share? I don’t seem to have anything like that in my photo library. Thanks,
Brent
Some example of interesting ribbon and bow on hats with "difficult" dark grey
They are examples I have available now, with calm I can find others, but they could be a suggestion for you Brent
A) Cappellificio Cervo. Felt is "Loden" and color "Ucraina" This is the more close to your color
B) Panizza. No indication of color. A grey/blueish "lustre" and dark felt with medium hair
C) De Megni, probably a Panizza A medium to dark grey with a silver ribbon
D) Vanzina stiled by Borsalino, a deep lustre felt with a fancy ribbon
Have a nice day
Great color on that one, is that a fawn? Beautiful.
Confortable and fresh!!Very nice one Max. It has the beginnings of a hollywood curl. Very popular in the 1930s. Side up and side down of the brim.
Love that Mayser!
Love the brim on that one Rodolfo.
Sometimes the voices know best. Probably not when they tell you to drive on the sidewalk though. You have to be selective. Love the gills.Good Monday morning! I had one of those existential crisis moments while getting ready for work - I couldn't decide on a hat!
Then I heard a voice calling to me from a box in the corner, "Pick the Frunoberger!"
So, OK.
Far be it from me to ignore the voices in my head.
