I wish I would've gotten into hats when I was sixteen. I always liked looking at them, but they felt uncomfortable. It wasn't until I was forced to wear them while playing golf, that I got used to them.

BTW, is your dad a fellow lounger?

Family reunion camp out at Fort Stevens state park at the mouth of the Columbia river. Cool weather there, only to return to hot weather on Sunday. But then back to cooler weather here today.

NW Hats/Stratton conversion, modern buntal of mediocre quality, and a late 40s Champ for me. Mrs wore an oilskin hat camping that had snaps on the sides... an Outback Trading Co River Guide hat.

Mosquitos were aggressive, and these 2 were picked upwith one swat on my leg.

Sister came up from the Dominican Republic with a crocheted hat.

I just talked with Tim of Alley Kats. A great guy. He asked how his old Dobbs Forty was doing.
A perfect Dobbs Forty...it’s doing fine Tim and many thanks!!!
Be well all. Bowen
Nice Forty Bowen, love the classic look. I know I've been gone for a while, but without the beard you have lost 20 years of age in just a week. This will take some getting used to, you youngster!

One of my favorites Fabio!

Bored i guess.

It is good to see the apple didn't fall to far from the tree. At your age, developing a style and appreciation for fine men's hats is notable. It is good to have you here as a member. Looking forward to the other hats you come up with.

Cooled off enough to wear felt while walking the dogs. Resistol 3X on top.

Fantastic crease, and I love that ribbon. A conversion?

I see a drip of the earlier rain fell out of a tree and smacked it right in the middle of the ribbon.

Welcome back Red:
Thanks for your kind words. The beard was an experiment in re-visiting old times. It was atrocious. I think it was scaring the grandbaby plus she quickly learned to grab it, pull and get my hat. Stinker!! Hope you had a relaxing boat ride. Glad the Mrs. got part of her wing back.
Be well. Bowen
Ps: hope i did this copy quote thingy right??
