I wish I would've gotten into hats when I was sixteen. I always liked looking at them, but they felt uncomfortable. It wasn't until I was forced to wear them while playing golf, that I got used to them.

Cooled off enough to wear felt while walking the dogs. Resistol 3X on top.

Family reunion camp out at Fort Stevens state park at the mouth of the Columbia river. Cool weather there, only to return to hot weather on Sunday. But then back to cooler weather here today.

NW Hats/Stratton conversion, modern buntal of mediocre quality, and a late 40s Champ for me. Mrs wore an oilskin hat camping that had snaps on the sides... an Outback Trading Co River Guide hat.

Mosquitos were aggressive, and these 2 were picked upwith one swat on my leg.

Sister came up from the Dominican Republic with a crocheted hat.

Took the wife in for her broken wrist appointment this morning. The doctor says it is healing well. Moved her into a wrist brace instead of a full arm cast. She can finally move her elbow now. Very happy girl. Wore a simple straw custom from NW Hats.

Thanks for your kind words. The beard was an experiment in re-visiting old times. It was atrocious. I think it was scaring the grandbaby plus she quickly learned to grab it, pull and get my hat. Stinker!! Hope you had a relaxing boat ride. Glad the Mrs. got part of her wing back.
