Greetings All:
Today it’s an Akubra CD Imperial. First time out. Kinda high crown takes some getting used to. Alot of discussions about Akubra this and that. All i can say is i like it.
Thanks all for the recent kindness.
Be well. Bowen

Yea Bowen, it looks good! You got a nice crease in it. I like my Camp drafts, good looking rugged hats, that are replaceable if you get wild. I wear mine a lot.

Please tell us that NO ROOSTERS were harmed or plucked in the making of this photo!!
Believe it or not, featherless chickens have been bred at the genetics faculty of the Rehovot Agronomy Institute in Tel Aviv, Israel. Whether or not they were harmed in the process is debatable.

Hey dudes and dudettes! A nice green John Batterson on this most special (and paranoid) of all days here in CA. :D

It's a little foggy, even though all indica tions showed weed have sun. But that fog might just burn out soon. Have a great dab.

A long day making for a late entry - late 40s/early 50s ivory (not white) 3X Stetson that was a Shuddle Bros. western with a Ft. Worth cattleman bash when it came to me. Never looked good on me so decided to try a teardrop and new brim style. Getting a lot more wear now!

Great looking hat, D. Pairing with the jacket is a devastating look.

Query: Does the "M" stitching stand for "Mayor" or the "MAN"?

Fantastic pick-up. Gorgeous colors.

One of the nicest looking warm weather hats I have ever laid my eyes on.

I always love to see the Hanover Square on your head. It is just perfect for you.
Thanks Matt. It is about the perfect hat for me.

The mailman makes it an early two-hatter.

A Mac Lachlan Air-Vac with an absolutely fascinating felt (but not Cavanagh Edge) brim treatment arrived at the office.

The brim is a bit more abbreviated than I would have in an ideal world. But the felt is extraordinary... exceptionally dense and springy.

It will be visiting the steam for some shape adjustments. Some prior owner appears to have been kind enough to stretch it up from 7 1/8 to 7 1/4. So that saves me some labor.

Thank you Mr. Mailman!

Wow, another beauty. The felt looks really nice and that edge treatment is wild.

Thanks,
Michael

Surprise. Any idea how to clean just the ribbon at the front of the brim which is smudged from people's fingers?????

Looking forward to the replies as I have a few ribbon stains to deal with as well. In the future I would advise you to not let other people touch your hat there ... and stay away from Funyuns. :D

What the heck is a funyon? :)
I think someone was touching that hat there for almost 70 years unfortunately :)

I just broke down and took a little dish soap and a tiny brush and wet it and brushed the ribbon edge with dish soap gently with a tiny brush used to clean beard trimmer which was never used.

Hat is drying so I will see what happens.

Greetings TPD et al:
That is a magnificent hat! An “oh my” hat.
To me “that” is what a hat should look like. First pic is an archive pic. Thanks for sharing. Love to see more, insides, different angles. Magnificent!

Bee-yoo-tee-full!
You and me both!
Thanks guys, this one is going to be a go-to on these cooler sunny days this spring. I'm happy that I had Mike Miller create it.

Dobbs Hanover Square on a very nice morning.

Have a great Friday,

I think this is my favorite (currently) of your stable. Great jacket too.

Looking super Fabio. Love the Mallory.

I love this one Tuk. I think I'll be wearing mine this weekend too. Have to give the duplex a little rest.
