The still life shots exaggerate the purplishness of the hat. But the others are pretty accurate. It tends to look that way in the morning light.

A pleasant day with sun and some mellow temperature

The last of this serie, titled "French in grey"

Flechet De Luxe without paper label inside. Matching ribbon with trimmed brim

It is very similar in color and proportions to another Flechet showed last week

The felt is a little bit to stiff and the grey a little darker

Dark brown, almost black lining with Flechet brand in gold

It was made especcialy for the A. Meer in Strasbourg

Harv, Thanks! This Straw Hat is from Amsterdam so probably locally blocked and dressed. It's rare to come across a 1950s or older German or Austrian Soft Straw Hat like this Panama. I have a few old German Stiff Straw Hats (Boater style) which pop up occasionally but as expected difficult to find 58cm or larger.
