Dynamite proportions. What's the brim width?
Thank you, scotty. The brim width on this one is 2 5/8. I've done a little tweaking to the pinch and reflanged the brim again since that post. I was trying to get closer to Alan Ladd's China hat which I'll be posting in a few. Additionally, it's a tall straight crown, 4 7/8 at the pinch with a rake sloping to 4 1/4 at the back, as creased.

I missed a great end of the year on the Lounge yesterday. I was going to make multiple comments about hats and happy news. But really, one word will suffice for it all: Fantastic!

Wes... I'm terribly sorry for your loss.

Moon... FIGHTING HAT (AND LOUNGE) MONKEY ARE FIGHTS WE CAN'T WIN (except maybe with methadone and/or burbon and/or severed fingers so we can't type or pick up hats). But seriously... I am grateful that you are back. The place isn't the same without you and your monstercrazydisturbing collection and knowledge.

My marvelous new year begins under a Vita-Felt.

We have the rare Chesapeake Bay effect snow showers today so this flake is headed out to chase some other flakes. We don't get to see much snow around here.

I hope that each of you great folks have the best year ever. May it be totally groovy.

And absolutely frigid day, literally and figuratively. -5 outside. Went to a funeral today for one of my oldest and closest friends who was taken on Christmas in a senseless act of violence.
Some things I'll never understand. I wore a 60s Bee today.

That's tough. In a similar incident I lost a good friend back in October in a drive by shooting. He was shot in front of his own home with his wife watching. They never found the killer as far as I know. He was gone before the paramedics got him to the hospital. He was a good guy who loved to laugh and talk sports.

Oh! I perceived the brim as being shorter, although it looked larger in the table shots. Must have been the angle of the shot of it on your head.

Either way, a great looking hat.

Wearing this Resistol Stagecoach conversion again today. I did a little tweaking to the pinch and made it tighter and I reflanged the brim again. I was trying to get a little closer to Alan Ladd's China hat. It has a nice tall straight crown with a 2 5/8 brim....here's the redo, (the picture of me wearing the hat is closer to the actual color).
