I had a crush in elementary school on a Maxine...wait, that's not really relevant, is it?

One other thing considering the Distraction of the Day (TM). I have written a Bartender to ask what happened, and have requested that the Membership be given some sort of response to clarify things. They don't have to do that (http://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/rules-and-privacy-and-copyright-policies.83853/), but it is my hope they will have the respect for the Members to do that. Additionally, if the reason Anthony and I gave for his bannination is correct or incorrect, and some guidance on which rules apply where.

As much as I love and trust Bob, we also owe it to the FL to give their side. I only hope they do, because we are at risk of losing some valuable voices and knowledge. And some great people.

I hope we have Bob back soon. Who else is going to complain about the weather reports that also appreciates Humble Pie?

I was just now made aware of this situation and wrote to one of the Bartenders about it. As a "female" member of the lounge I was sure NOT offended by any picture Bob posted and lets hope he will be back soon....

When I first saw that a "bob" had been suspended my heart sank as I thought it might be me! My indignant self wanted to know what the he'll I did wrong..

I had no intention of posting a black hat today but in light of the apparent arbitrary suspension or expulsion (if it's not, please explain) of my friend, Bob, I wear this early 1900's Stetson. Bob, it's 69 and sunny down here, though a lot of the shine of this place is gone.

I agree wholeheartedly with Jim. This is the only forum that I regularly participate in and it's because of the people here. Bob, being one of those very people that I've contacted privately just because of the comfort level I felt in talking to him. Nothing important, just to BS as buddies do.

I've seen politics discussed here in other threads, as well as religion and have seen these things ignored by the mods. Discussion of politics and religion, even if from the "Golden Era" is still a discussion, is it not? The language I've seen in some of the other treads equals or exceeds what Bob served his suspension for. One I believe he deserved, though it was for too long. I've got some serious thinking to do about this place.

That is a gorgeous hat, maybe one of my favorites you have shown. I still love a black hat, and the curled brim is icing on the cake. I am bummed about Bob's suspension also. I haven't been around here very long, but I think Bob is a class act. The wide array of styles and people make this an interesting forum. It would be a shame to lose some of the best players. Let's hope it's resolved quickly.

Well this party really took a hard left turn...

I dig the rules here. No politics, religious, or overly offensive language or content? I love it. I'm sure that seems contradictory to what some followers on my instagram may believe, but in a shared forum that welcomes anyone with a mutual interest or two, leaving divisive opinions and attitudes at the door is why, in my opinion, this forum has worked and why probably lots of us are here more than we're on Facebook. (I actually performed a coup de grace on mine months ago.)
Despite that likely many of us may have differing opinions on a wide range of things, we keep it quite civil here. It's a respectful environment. And respectful disagreements are rare these days.
What's been done with Bob however doesn't qualify as respectful, in my opinion. It seems clear that someone or someones want Bob outta here for good, and to me that seems like a gross abuse of power. If a person in charge is taking a personal stance against a member here, in my eyes, it's making things "political" and unjust.

I personally don't believe in outright boycotts but I'd certainly sit with the others at the proverbial bar down the street for a drink as often as I would here.
Now if only this bar were an actual physical place...

Anyway, brims up for Bob, diamond creases for Ant, and tennis shoes with fedoras for Karl.
Am I missing anything?

Hello All: I had been waiting to see this hat again since it’s last appearrance. Sadly, much sunshine and joy has been “taken” by today’s ban of Bob, for me.

So, Bob got nicked for placing an internet friendly picture twice, see who is the prude who deleted it? Ban him ! And he left palmela up there? And the misogynist crap that's normal here? Bob?
