I'm looking to make my own 100% beaver hat but I'm having a hard time finding beaver/ western hat blanks. Anyone have any clue where I can purchase capelines other than just rabbit felt?

Very nice Borsalino, ribbon color is great. Don't play with the matches thoughHey all!
Thanks for all the likes and kind words on yesterday's Pilgrim and assorted fancy duds.

Ha ha, thanks DH. I'll let you know if I decide to do that.Michael, you have to let me know if you ever open a vintage clothing store, or better yet, a vintage shopping service. The deer skin jacket blew me away. You have such eclectic tastes and you always pull them off wonderfully! Love the brim up OR.
Thanks Samuel. You've been running a good hat show lately.Nice hat, nice bash
Ha! I was going to do the same thing! Great minds, Moe!Hey all!

Two of my neighbors put their lights up today...but I'm not going to let that bother me! Went to a winery this afternoon for Federweisser and Zweibelkuchen so ladders were not advisable. I love that XXXX quality champ. The XXXX Quality Champ protects me today as I begin the dreaded Christmas light installation. Gotta love the Holidays.

Yes, but you don't have to bundle up to keep warm at least. The hat works for all the heat you will need.Survived Thanksgiving the temperature in Northern California is around 78 F so, we have a heatwave. Kind of a bummer, we're wanting cooler weather...

Looks real sharp, did he clean and crease it too?I grabbed this little Aristocrat, fresh back from NW Hat Co/Mike Miller with a new sweat.
Black Friday... ugh.

I cleaned it and it was FILTHY! Mike did need to reblock it because it had a reedless sweat originally. He did put in a shallow tear drop crease to try and save some crown height.Looks real sharp, did he clean and crease it too?
Yes. I'm sure... but you didn't and HE did!Ha! I was going to do the same thing! Great minds, Moe!

Is that where "kitten finish" comes from?If Winchester won't sell a Western Hood , contact Hatters and ask to buy a Hood from them or if they'll order one and sell it to you . More than one way to skin a Cat .
