I haven't posted in this thread for most of the past week as I've mostly been staring at the pine ceiling of my kitchen which is now white, or the walls which are now green, or the... you get the picture.

Anyway, a while back @steur sent me this Habig, in part exchange / part present (he sent two hats) for a Dunn Homburg that was slightly too small for me, slightly too large for him. The Habig is slightly too big for him and was slightly too small for me but I stretched it a hair, and recreased it last evening.

Having now played with it, I think someone trimmed the brim down to 'around' 2.5 inches at some stage. Which is a shame but I love it. It's not a bad job, or noticeable really, It's just a bloody nice comfortable hat.

Yeh, I'm just putting some text between my post and some of the legendary lids above.

Dated 20Nov1922 Mell's Mell-O-Fit green long hair heather. This hat is a favorite of mine, and I hope you will all enjoy it as well. It normally hides away in a box, but this being the month of it's birth, I figured I'd allow it to see the morning sunrise. Mackinaw is from the c.1920s

Wonderful hat and outfit. I hope you'll be back on your feet (hahah[emoji853]) soon.
Many thanks, much appreciated.
I think you may outdapper your surgeon sir!
Flatterer, but I like your compliment, thank you.
Superb....Love the coat.....WHERE did you get that bow-tie???? I want one!!!! I wear bow-ties all the time .......that one is just too cool!!!!!!!!!
Actually, my wife made it. She had an off cut from this shirt, using an old bow tie as a template, she fashioned me the one that you see.

you look great, love the ribbon colour. Best of luck at the quack and in the op.
Grateful thanks, my surgeon's diary is full up and until Christmas, so I'm looking at the new year, probably February, before surgery.

After my appointment this morning I got home, got changed, and took Tina to her favourite fabric shop. I seem to be wearing an Esther hat/Tina shirt combination quite a lot these days. Np wonder I don't get time to look for that ivory Gannon that I'm hankering after.

Nice Stetson, does it come from a USA Trade? That Cervo has great colors. What country of origin is this brand?

You pull off a Bowler so well Fabio. Impressive look.

One of your smaller brims lately Perry, very nice.
Mike, thanks. This Stetson is not from a hat-swap. It's a license made Stetson. English license actually, so made by Failsworth. Cervo is an Italian brand. Not all that common (I only have this one and one that Daniele got me) but they made great hats.

Super busy with a history project for OSU these past few days. Have been spotty in my keeping up with all the great hats floating past. I have officially made it through an all Homburg week! I had to repeat, means I need more...
Yesterday, the Barbisio Nutria Mullet-berg

And today, I'll wear my resized Echter Borsalino, again. Love this homburg.

I'll try to be more attentive now that life is settling down a bit. It's Friday!
Good to hear the stretching worked out. Looks great on you, Mike.

More than fantastic hat again, Justin (and great pictures too). Seeing you wear this has me a bit puzzled though about your reluctance to wear homburgs.

Good to see you made it work for you, Karl. Hadn't noticed the brim cut myself, but I must say I didn't look all that carefully, because of the loose fit on me. The Dunn fits me really well actually with just one cork spacer.
