Looks like Irma is expected to be Cat 1-2 when it hits Miami, which is still bad, especially with the flooding, storm surge and threat of tornadoes still looming. Prayers for all affected. We have cousins in Miami, friends in Ocoee and Eustis.

My sister and her family are in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The cat 5 storm went north and all they got was some wind and rain. Virgin Islands got hammered, as did northern DR and northern Cuba.

We have a dear friend, somewhat of a pillar of the community here, who has been in the hospital since Monday. Sounds like a blood clot from his leg broke loose and stopped up his heart. Massive heart attack, vomiting with aspiration, he was dead when they got him to the hospital. No hospital personnel are allowed to assist in bringing people into the hospital, so his wife was out there screaming for help as she couldn't lift her husband. I would have driven the car through the front doors had I been driving. Thankfully, another person came over from his vehicle in the parking lot to help. Hospital staff worked on Angel for 4 hours, hitting him with the paddles 8 times to bring him back.

Once stable, they airlifted Angel to OHSU where it looked grim. Low brain activity/connectivity to his right side and zero to the left. He was in a coma all this time with machines doing his breathing and keeping his heart going. I was preparing myself for another funeral. All his kids flew in from around the country. They've been living at the hospital.

Last night we set up meals for the family and heard that Angel is sitting up in his bed and asking to go home. Literally, the world has been praying for Angel every hour of every day in homes, in churches and in temples. I was pretty well convinced it was Angel's time to go. God showed me I was wrong, again.

We're headed out to pick up the food order from the local Harvest Fresh deli. Haven't been thinking of hats too much lately, but I think I'll take my current favorite with me today, the Knox 15 custom edge miracle. It's been a miracle for Angel. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

What a tale about Angel !!! Sometimes bthe Lord just want people to stay here !!! He must be alive for a good reason, he might still have a mission here to accomplish

I think I mentioned recently that I have read everything she wrote & watched every interview she ever gave on Ted Bundy, but never ventured into any of her other books. Ever heard the theory early on that she might have been a cohort or protected Bundy?
Yep, she may have felt in love with him.

There is a lot of material about it.

Anyway I believe she is right on the money on a lot of stuff.

Have a nice weekend Jack !!

Strangely hot days this week and the wife told me to mow the lawn in this 30 degree temperature.

Well, we have a say down her "where the ship's Captain orders no crewmen governs", and, the best way to avoid domestic violence is to obey immediately!!

she was a nutjob, without an averaged society her people can't grow into the outstanding individuals they become. That said, she didn't disco dance beside the 'b'ankers with a 'w' that aspoused her. The one about the architect was more readable than it's given credit for.

Did she ever drive a Volkswagen Beetle? Until a certain time that was one of the the common denominators in serial killers.

really? Bloody hell, my sister in law drives one around LA, and she's a head mistress or is everyone a head master these days? My son who is 9 was asking me to explain why his head mistress is now called headmaster, and he sort of gets it but I don't. I don't refuse to get it, I just don't get it. I blame everything on those two planes, I was busy designing the internet, yeh it's partially my fault, someone on a forum posted pictures of the first plane's aftermath, pilot must of been drunk, second one went in and the joy got sucked out of the world. If you quote my world view I'll send you a branded tinfoil cap. (-:
