This morning I completed outside chores in a vtg. Stetson Playboy.

Wearing my Stetson Slev-Edge felt fedora to school today. Anecdote:
I spoke to a east coast antique dealer about men's hats; he grew up in the 50's-60's from a prosperous Manhattan family. He remembers all the fancy hat makers once abundant in the big Apple, now nearly all are gone--thank you JFK.

What he remembers was Stetson being the most sought after piece of men's clothing. If you owned a Stetson you had the best-of-the-best. Mind you, there was a lot of stiff competition.

He mentioned traveling by plane; how expensive it was back then and that men would travel with more than one hat—with respective hat box, of course.

From an early age, his father taught him hat etiquette, and how important it wasto tip your hat towards a lady.
