What a treasure to have!

Thanks Jack. The DOBBS hat pin was put there by me. I don't think the company used those at the time it was purchased.

Still chilly here today so sticking with the felt. My great-great-grandfathers Dobbs. He was never without his hat and this was probably the last he ever purchased. Once again from Stern Brothers in Parkersburg, WV sometime late 50's. And once again with his initials W.E.S. inside. Found it in a closet about 8 years ago in the original box. Amazingly great condition. So much so I hesitate to wear it much.

Ahh .... friends! I have a daughter that takes my hat from my head whenever I see her. She likes to wear it for a few minutes. A ritual of sorts. I need to try that " bob and weave" action.... "rope a dope" isn't cutting it.

The best offense is a good defense, especially when punching your daughter is not an option.

The color is gray with ribbon tone on tone
One of the various hats in this color I'm really excited about

As promised, you see today another shape of Homburg with rounded wings and a crown, less tall than it's English colleague

Today it made its walk, perfectly with ease. The fit is perfect

I still thank Stefan for his kindness.
