Today's sunshine calls for suede. Borsalino Marque Grand Luxe XXXX (ecosca) in bronzo. I bought two of these from the same estate some years back, in Marshall Field boxes but purchased in Florence.
Wearing some green today, and pulled out "The Penman" from Penman Hats. It's the only hat I have with a 6-point diamond bash, but I sure like it!
Thanks Mike. The jacket is an old Amana Woolen Mills thing out of the 60s or 70s I think. I'm finally ready to get on the bike after dinging around the house all morning.
Thanks. I always, maybe wrongly, associate velour and rope bands with stingy brimmed alpine hats. So it seems a bit of unusual combo on a hat with a 3" brim. Lately it seems to have taken a liking to a little curl in the brim rather than a snap down. I haven't been inclined to argue with it.

And bash and shape and size and, should I go on?I'm using this 60 degree day as an opportunity to wear this sweet Hardeman Mainliner ...I estimate it around late 40s to early 50s vintage based on the dimensions and innards... and the fact that the plant closed in 1953
