What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

I remember seeing a listing of Stetson pricing at one time and the price jump seemed later. It sure feels like a mid fifties vs a early 60s felt. Really soft and ultra light. Sometime I'll have to weigh it, but it is by far my lightest felt hat. I'll go back through the thousands of pages I've read to refresh my memory as to dating. The problem is, no extant mfg labeling.

Just from what I can see in your pictures I would put the hat early to mid 1950's, Red. I'm not an expert tho.... just going by hats I have collected.

We visited Esther last saturday to pick up my new hat.

Here we meet our lovely host.

We visited a beautiful neighbourhood in Antwerp

Then drinks and a great dinner.

The next day day we used the Antwerp museum app to take a guided tour through the city center.

It really is a beautiful city.

Oh, and here's the hat, against the backdrop of one of our largest discount drugstores.

Today's hat is a brown Indy. When I ordered it I thought I was getting a Stetson. It's not. It's made in China and is marked on the sweatband "100% fine fur felt. Hand Made." And has a silk lining. I'm sure everyone is familiar with this one.
