Thank you for your yesterday compliment!
Many wonderful hats.......

Even today it is still a medium-haired Borsalino

The hat has a ice-blue felt color. It is very soft and the ribbon is dark blue

Photographing it in two different lighting conditions you can clearly see the variety of tones

This Borsalino was for sale on the Italian market, many years ago, and arrived in Verona brand new

The day is sunny and the temperature rose over this morning

Beautiful Borsalino! Love the color variations in the different light.

Damp and chill this morning. I need to call in a few minutes and see if my car is fixed. If so a trek to the bus is in order and I may have to revert to my fur hat, but for now the Whippet.

Lots of fine hats here to look at before I get out of the house.

That is a great cut on that leather coat. I especially like the detail on the zipper flap (?), wonderful Whippet as well.

Everybody's looking stylish again today!

@EstherWeis - love your red hats, great ribbon and bow on this one!

@Edora37 - straw?! Where on earth do you live? Please send us some of that warmth! Nice hat by the way :)

@Daniele Tanto - that borsalino really is beautiful, such a nice texture, and just the right size brim and ribbon.

@Knotten - do I spot ear muffs? Are they the kind that clip over your ears or do they go around the back of your head? Do they stay in place? Perhaps I need to invest in a pair of those so I can still wear nice hats in this weather...

@mmbarnes - another excellent homburg, although I expect nothing less from you of course ;) Get well soon!
But that fur hat is certainly stylish. Everyone will be looking at it with envy!
@Michael A - nice hat, goes well with the jacket/jumper combination. I hope your car is fixed by now.

Temperatures are still way below zero here, so my "proper" hats stayed indoors again today. They promise it'll be warmer tomorrow though...

Good get, Rick. The Dallas is an excellent hat. That isn't your first one, though, is it?
No, its not, but it is by far the oldest and best quality Dallas that I have owned. I have a Mallory Ten that is very similar, and a "newer" Dallas that is "Durafelt" versus "Pliafelt" quality. My Mallory Ten is also "Pliafelt" quality, but the felt is thinner than the that of this Dallas, and very similar to my older Borsalino Alessandrias.

Relatively warm here at 50-52F, windy too with 20 mph breezes and gusts to about 45 mph. I Just grabbed my Stratton again. It was drier tis morning but it's pouring right now.

Hmmm, I bought an actual rain hat for days like this but it just sits there on a chair... feeling unused and unloved. Outback Trading Co River Guide rain hat, old school oilskin, but I'm preferring my felt hats.
