Thanks Red. I bought a card of 3 buttons to get the one that I needed for the coat. They cost $1.50, but the original price printed on the card was 15 cents. So you can guess about how old they were. New at a fabric store I think they would be about $4.50. And I caught my second positive comment in a week on my taste in clothes. I must be getting better at this game. Ha ha.A stunner at twice the price!! Nice looking hat, it has character. It just figures that you would have a "vintage button store" to go to, I'm moving to to your town!
Great for you. It looks good on the hat rack, but how about a noggin shot!
Breaking in Moon's old Borsalino.

+1 me too. I think Moon needs to distribute his bashed hats on a global basis.Quite a good fit. I wish you had bashed my other hats, or I had at least had one of your hats to go by when I did mine.

Love a nice Cav! Is it that dark "onyx" color? My two seem almost a shade or two darker.Hey peeps!
It is a dark, rainy, cold and absolutely dreary day in the 707. I'd like to spend it holed up at home Netflixing myself into oblivion, but I have stuff to do. So, out I shall go under this late 50's "Jazz Man" Cavanaugh.
Have a great day!

So sorry to hear about you being down for the count my friend. I felt better when I tried on a few hats. Not quite vicodin, but a close second! Hope you weather this well buddy. Don't go outside in the morning, it will probably be 15 degrees! We should have a little dusting here in the south valley.Hello all FL hat lovers. I've been a bit out of sorts lately. MrsFed is home and I'm cheerfully thankful for that. But my troubles with the peptic ulcer/gastritis keeps flaring up. Thursday, 3 hours mid-day. Friday, about 2am - 10am, followed by a doc visit at 2pm. Quite A-OK on Saturday, and then a mega-event Sunday from 1am - 7am... and a trip to the ER to get it all back under control, complete with IV injections of pepcid and morphine.
I feel ok today with prescription doses of Prilosec but no more NSAIDs (Advil, Motrin, etc (ibuprofen) and Aleve (naproxen sodium) for my chronic pain so I'm juggling pain management between my meager supplies of prescription meds and a doc that is now on vacation.
And.... back to work. Good grief, what a day. Anyway, I've been switching between grabbing my NW Hats conversion of the Stratton western, and my LL Bean/Stetson Moose River hats. Too tired, pained, etc, to go looking in my "hat room" for something more stylish. But I promise to improve! I've been wearing my western boots because it's easier to slide on some boots than it is to tie my shoe lace with the pain in the gut I've been having.
I still love seeing the wonderful hats all of you have been posting the last few days. Some real stunners out there!
It tried to snow last night, but nothing significant. Now it's supposed to be coooooooooooolllld and clear. The sun is out now. Weird weather.
Have a great day FL faithful!
Nice Stetson, great color and brim.Modified Stetson OR (Sheplers' Tulsa edition) on another gloomy day.
It's actually a deep rich brown. The lighting in my house sucks and it was raining too hard to take my tablet outside. Not like the light was any better in the rain...Love a nice Cav! Is it that dark "onyx" color? My two seem almost a shade or two darker.
Wow! I never knew. I have not taken that stuff for years, I mostly do Costco Alieve knock off. Probably too much of that stuff too. Thanks, Moe.
I do know about the Tylenol dangers. Years ago I worked as a paralegal on a case where a nursing student took double doses of it and ended up in the ER with liver failure. Trouble was, she was taking cold medicine (with Tylenol in it). Then her Dr prescribed some cough syrup or other cold meds (with Tylenol in it as well), but didn't know she was already taking the other stuff. It only took 3 or 4 days and her liver just shut down.
Dosing with Tylenol must be followed correctly.
Love it!True Blue Special Edition Strat

Another little known fact about acetaminophen is that you shouldn't drink alcoholic beverages if you take it regularly--a prolonged combination of alcohol and acetaminophen can cause permanent (in some cases fatal) damage to your liver and/or kidneys. Just a bit of medical advice from ol' Dr. Zombie....I do know about the Tylenol dangers.
