Truth be told, I may have wet myself a little when I opened the box and saw it...Couldn't help myself. I'm getting to be that age you know.

Alan, you're a Bohemian at heart.
Is that blue or black, Alan? Raw brim?A Bohemian discovered by Steve and kindly shared in my direction. You can see the little felt heart tucked into the self ribbon terminus. At about 50mm, some might call this a stingy brim. Call me a scrooge, but I like the slim proportions.
Super hat parade again today. I braved the elements and the sun came out for a minute. I really wanted to wear my Black Cherry Gannon, aka The Rodolfo, so I did! It really is a lovely hat.

Thanks for the link back, Charlie. I remember the posts about your trip now. And I like the color of blue smoke; not as light as it appears sometimes, even from the swatch.Hey, Jack; I think the third one, but they're all a bit on the light side by my estimation. For a better sense of this color, check here on the Fedoras Afield thread. This was the only hat I brought on a 12 day trip this year. There are two sets of photos to give you a much better idea of this versatile color.
Great hats, love the calenders!

Every time I see that hat, it looks even better.Oh. My. God. Y'all are killin' me! I haven't laughed this hard at a thread in...EVER! I go out for a bit, check back and it got reeally weird.
Had to go to the bank and points south. Left the T&J bowl at home and grabbed the Dalton "Waverly."
You sure that isn't "colander?"

Wow!Super hat parade again today. I braved the elements and the sun came out for a minute. I really wanted to wear my Black Cherry Gannon, aka The Rodolfo, so I did! It really is a lovely hat.
Wow!
Esther I didn't realize at first that you had done a sort of "marqueterie"on the top of the crown. Well done!Well.
I didn't want to spam up the place . Rest is on my thread.
I absolutely love this one, is the bash the original one?"Echter" Borsalino probabaly later 1950s.

Possibly, how curious! It's a small worldKuki,
My Dad is from Cuba. So I was pretty sure the pronunciation would be the same. He was the youngest in his family so I think it stuck to him, too.
Thank you for the weather report!! You're looking most dashing!Off on a field trip to lovely Hampton, VA to start my day.
Wearing the blue Dobbs Fifteen. I've always dug that they included a very light blue liner. Nice finishing touch. View attachment 63116 View attachment 63117 View attachment 63118 View attachment 63119 View attachment 63120 View attachment 63121 View attachment 63123
Happily, neither the homeowner nor any of the people cruising by on the busy road called the police because of my odd roadside photo taking behavior.
Thanks for all of the kind words about yesterday's Stetsonian and have a peachy keen Tuesday.
P.S. Kuki... It is 1°c here. Clouds to the east, but blue skies creeping in from the west. Should be a pretty, albeit cold, day. [emoji6]
Lovely wide brim, looks great on you!
Great hat @hatophile that striped lining is wonderful... and those shark gills... wow!... they're kind of towards the back, is that usual... or is it an optical illusion?

You delight me everyday Michael the look is wonderful from head to toe. I think it the hat has promise as a derby, but it will require a block, steam and iron, as it is now you can see a shadow of where it used to be dented... if you could get rid of that it would be great!Much nicer morning. A Resistol Ultra Stingy in the process of being imagined as a derby.

The thought just struck me this morning while I was trying to decide what hat to wear.

Is it worth pursuing?

I need to go buy the ice melter that I've forgotten to get on my last 3 outings. And maybe a haircut.
Hope everyone is having a good day. Lots of fine hats out I see.
Michael
I love the misto... the hat and the word, I didn't know they were called like that in Italian but it makes sense.Good morning. Mild temps, 15'F, found me wearing the Borsalino Misto for a second day.
It waits in the backseat during my errands this afternoon with other headgear options.
Best, Eric -
It's gorgeous Alan, is that a "velour" peachbloom finish? The colour is amazing too.A Bohemian discovered by Steve and kindly shared in my direction. Esther, I think you could wear a banana on your head and you'd still look awesome... not sure I can say the same about the bowled guys... ;-)Nothing's keeping me. I like being silly. Good god, still laughing.
So, since I'm a lady I went with a nice vintage soup terrine, as you do...
That is some bad-ass hat and the attitude to go with it... I often think that wearing a hat successfully has a lot to do with how confident you feel and a "here I come like it or not" attitude.Super hat parade again today. I braved the elements and the sun came out for a minute. I really wanted to wear my Black Cherry Gannon, aka The Rodolfo, so I did! It really is a lovely hat.
