Super Friday to all! We're going WIiiiide today; wide ribbon and a 2-3/4" brim (sorry, Joao - Stingy?)
One of my favorite vintage "children," an M&K Hatters of Los Angeles felt from the 40s, in green/gray.
On a side note of caution to all of you, in an MRI this week, we confirmed a full diameter tear of the supraspinatus of my left shoulder, the dominant side rotator . Orthopedist says it was likely caused by excessive selfies... maybe. Another ordeal, but only a bump in the road.

I had the privilege of handling that most excellent fedora just before Mike put in the satin liner. Great hat, great symbol of the history of the game!Today begins the official wearing of my 1942 Rose Bowl lid from Mike at NW Hats. The university is celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the 1942 Rose Bowl (which Oregon State won, beating Duke). I'll be sporting a vintage 40s Pilgrim tie and my A-2. Today's activities involve me being on a panel discussing the history on a local sports radio show, "the Joe Beaver Show" and attending a lecture by the author of a book about the game. I did the research from the OSU archives for his work. The hat is specifically styled to match an image from the 1942 Beaver Yearbook.
Tomorrow is the Homecoming game and I'll be talking Beaver History in the "Men of the Roses" display tent.
That's a fantastic only hat!Whippet again. Sorry guys it's my only hat

Great lid, Charlie. Sorry about the shoulder. So does this mean you're giving up on your dreams of pitching for the Sox?
never ... EVER apologize for showing a killer piece like thatWhippet again. Sorry guys it's my only hat
I like this hat very simple and elegantThis one is rabbit felt in Silverbelly with a 2" dark blue-grey ribbon, and about 2-3/8" on the brim. Front crease stands 4-1/2" tall, with a simple teardrop crease on the crown. Sweet hat I picked up here on the FL.
