Yes,
I guess I didn't say that very well, but you guys knew what I meant. The curl looks very full/tall. I like it a lot. I am waiting on an open crown hat with a curled brim, but not sure it will be as full as Joao's. (Hoping it is though)
I understood what you meant. I measured this Tom Mix brim and it have 5 1/8". With the curl have a 4 1/4" brim.

no, just one bow on the side. The back has a little double pleat based on a few vintage styles I've seen, like this: View attachment 58460 They're really difficult to find nowadays, and I didn't want to spend 30 bucks to get a ribbon applied by a hat shop (I'm in college. I'm practically broke). So I carefully studied the construction and application of the hat ribbon on the original dark brown one that graced my fedora, and did it myself with ribbon i bought from Jo-Ann's fabrics.

I just reread this , ... WOW ! Looks PRO ! AWESOME Work ! You may have a hidden talent , that was Revealed ! KILLER @VintageEveryday !

C. G. Wilke "Flamand" probably late 1920s.

Steve; Thanks for sharing your hats on this thread. I wanted to acknowledge that I am frequently look at your posts several times. The hats you show are different than the usual and have unique characteristics. They challenge my "hat sensibility." My hat sensibility has been mostly created by the "usual." I have been finding myself liking them more and more. The Flamand felt is totally gorgeous. The hats over the past couple of weeks have been spectacular. I do not acknowledge them enough, but know that I appreciate them.

Applause coming from my neighborhood. Best, Eric -

Looking good this morning, E!
You must have had enough coffee today. ;)
I really like that bone colored felt on you. Smashing.
Thx hon!
It's a very cool toned light grey with a slight pink undertone.
The lighting here doesn't do it justice. Color is called kiesel ( like pebble... )
Yes, there is no such thing as too much coffee, but waking up to walk this way made me half moonwalk out of bed :)
I had such a nice morning that I regret my choice of footwear ( and hat too) quite a bit. Pouring outside...
