My new Akubra

Hey everyone!
Late entry today. Bright, warm, springlike day. Dug out this parabuntal project from last year. Changed the ribbon to this wide twill, changed the porky crown into a taller fedora.

Camera angle is different from normal, to spare the internet public the sight of the aftermath of my cut upper lip from shaving. It's not gory or anything, but the snall band-aid covering it looks too much like a certain evil dictator's toothbrush moustache for my liking.

That's the Akubra "Sombrero". It comes open crown and with the brim with much more of a taco curl. Generally doesn't look all that great in store's product photos, but a tiny tiny bit of tweaking and it really looks like a '20s original.

Boy Dinerman , that Akubra Sombrero looks a LOT like the Borsalino Big Boys . REALLY SWEET ! I know its a long way from it , but much less expensive , too . NICE HAT !
