Thanks for the appreciation... a small wonder from RLK's collection. It weighs 3.1 ounces... thin but very densely felted, not as light as some Borso feathers.

Thanks Alan, my lightest hat - the Dalton I wore yesterday, is ~3.5 oz. 3.1 oz is amazing, and anything lighter is getting into "hummingbird fart" territory!

Hatters referenced a "two ounce" felt as the lightest available. The Borsalino featherweights are among the lightest hats I have handled, in my size they can be 2.5 - 3 ounces with sweatband and liner. The very lightest felt hat I've owned is the Borsalino Pocket hat which is just over two ounces with a grosgrain sweatband and silk lining. These very lightweight hats are lovely to hold but can be challenging to wear in a breeze.

Beautiful Alan ! Coypu undercoat fur (been reading), they're even here , often mistook for Beaver (huge)or Muskrats (small), but these are native and have flat tails (paddle on beaver , flattened on muskrat) , but round on Coypu . We called them Nutro Rats , red eyes , yellow teeth , huge , but Beaver here get even more huge . Great fur felt and Gorgous Hat Alan ! ... Another stunner ...

Thanks B. Yes, iPhone. Working with natural light helps. Certain locations around my house and office are dependable for good light. I keep trying for diversity but tend to return to the same spots. Look at our friend Robert. ;^)

The lightest felt that I have is the Como I wore yesterday. 2.9 ounces with leather sweat and no liner, although I think it may have been lined originally. A dead calm day kind of hat for sure!
