Great lids all around lately. But what else would one expect from a bunch of hat nuts like us?
I'm nutty for this one for sure. Vanzina Pavia. Light weight for a warm day. Short brim to load pics faster (ha Joao!) and a nice color.

We are off to The Vintage Bazaar today.

Guys, if you take the good lady out, on what might prove an expensive retail therapy event, take a tip from someone in the know, hold her hand. This will get you glowing smiles from folk who think that you haven't got past the hearts & rainbows stage of your relationship yet. An added bonus if you are of advancing years, you are deemed a sweet old couple. Holding hands also means that she's not free to spend anything. Not thinking about my own advice, I let go. How stupid was that? She was there, straight to the notions for dressmaking:

That slip up must have cost me at least twenty quid. But it got worse, more rummaging:

One or two vintage paper patterns, a 1930's catalogue, other odds and ends, didn't dare ask, how much?
And finally, gloves. Opera gloves, ( whatever they are, ) because you can never have too many opera gloves:

Her hat and outfit was much admired, and she did look the part, so, who am I not to share.

Both fit great! Those 7 1/4 LO and 7 3/8 vintage hats sure fit a lot better than the 7 1/4 vintage hats, that's for sure. I hope you are happy with both I sent you! I am a bit disappointed that you didn't get them Friday, but that's the USPS for you.

Borsalino calls it palladio. It is grey but does have a hint of warm grey in certain light
