Bracing myself for Atlanta's "weather event" coming in on us. Lots of rain converting to snow later in the day or (hopefully) evening. People who can't drive in good weather are already becoming a nuisance on the roads.

Figured I needed a bit more brim to deflect the rain, and this Resistol does the job nicely.

Looking forward to a little mixed precipitation, then lots of rain here in S.E. Virginia. So I'm weather ready under the Mallory Ten homburg.

With this particular coat, when I wear this hat instead of the brown Vita-Felt fedora, my wife is much less likely to start singing the Inspector Gadget theme song whenever she sees me.

That is a good thing.

casechopper, you have the knack of being able to wear a hat brim up or brim down and make it look equally good both ways. I've got to admit, though, that I prefer the look of the brim snapped down in these pics. It gives you a look of authority.

Thanks Strapped-4-Cache. I go both ways on up-down brims. For the casual clothing I generally wear I think the brim up look works better a lot of the time but brim down is actually more practical much of the time to keep the sun out of my eyes.

I was thinking on this last night. Previously my favorite hat name was "Demon Hanover". It is now "Banana Zulu" (I realize "Banana is the color and "Zulu" is the name or style)

Just an awe inspiring hat for me with an equally great name

Nice hat! I am new here and like all the pictures of great fedoras. I just received a new hat two days ago, my first Akubra. I bought an Akubra Bushman that I teardrop creased. I have a feeling my other hats are going to get worn very little after wearing this hat for only a couple of days. I have re-creased older hats, but this was my first open crown. I will post a pic when I get a chance. How long have you had your Akubra? I have heard their wear is legendary.
