Gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous. What would you call that color. I have 3 hats in that color and I have no name for it.

Thanks! It is one of only a few that I own with such vibrant color... pine? spruce, perhaps? This hat is one of two with this early Imperial liner that I have found posted on the Lounge. I created a thread for it - you can see more photos here.

Talking of vibrant colour - we have the most amazing sunsets here, just about every night.
The hat's a black Tumwater - one of several TonyB hats I have, Tony does great things with that Winchester felt.

Monday had a fantastic parade of hats

Today long walk in the quit sun with Meer in blue

It was made in France probably around the 30'

The felt is mixed, thick and very malleable

Unlined as most of the hats in that time, it has a "fat" crown

Back to the Knox Madison Avenue today.

The poor lighting inside my office makes the hat look black, but it's really more of a charcoal grey with a black ribbon. Here's a better shot of it on the hat stand at my desk.

Great hats from our European friends this morning and Dave, that color on the ribbon really pops
