Hello Joao, thanks for the info about the pics - that helps a lot. I've noticed - and love - your westerns in this sea of fedoras. To me your full beard and beautiful local - I'm in the middle of farm country, no seas of water, just corn - really just feels "right". You know how to rock your hats!
Thank you ;)

Joao - amazing ribbon. Looks great
Thank you.

Stagecoaches, Straws, and Stellar hats gents!!!
Thank you!

Nice to see it again Justin!

MoK - looking very good in that cap!

Eric, Splinter - nice environmental hat shots!

Gearguy - perfect combo!

Joao - I have to hand it to you, holding down the wide-brim Western front in a locale where they are exceedingly uncommon. Even here on the Lounge they aren't that common. So thanks for adding a lot of balance!

With Felt Hat Day just around the corner I wanted to get as much use out of my straw boater as possible before it's put away for the season. I plan on wearing it each day this week (I won't post a picture each day though, that would get boring).

I wore it to church this morning with a suit. A bit more casual now for the afternoon with just a button down. Hopefully nobody tries to smash my hat before Sep 15th, it could start a riot similar to the Straw Hat Riot of 1922! lol http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straw_Hat_Riot

Stagecoaches, Straws, and Stellar hats gents!!!

I wore a black Dobbs TWENTY today, complete with a 1946 pocket calendar (courtesy of my late grandfather) tucked behind the sweatband...

Wow! That silhouette is perfect - the lines of that dobb are just spectacular. There's something about vintage hats that can't be duplicated and I think your hat, Amplified, serves as an ideal example. I called my wife to have her look and she just rolled her eyes like "you and your hats". Well, I may be new here but I sure got the bug bad. I'm not sure where I can find hats like that but I'm gonna try.

Just beautiful hats all around, gents. I feel both jealous and proud for you that these great pieces of art still enjoy their well-deserved time in the sun. I only hope those you walk by as you ago about your day appreciate it as much as I do. Again, thanks for sharing.

Now... if only I can learn how you make all those fine bashes by hand. I have a hat I acquired out of the bay that I can't seem to get quite right. Further proof my obsession - and collection - is slowly growing. I tip my hat to you all.

Dan

After heat, humidity and nasty storms yesterday, today is a perfect late summer's day.

I've been enjoying the outdoors with my dogs and Akubra Tablelands

Hybrid anti-UV hiking get-up. Tula Western 4" brim. Strange combo esthetically speaking, but right before my hike our family had a "Moon Cake" celebration brunch. Now I'm out and about, carrying shade with me!

Looking good today, guys.

Greg, yesterday's stingies give way to a 4" brim! Like someone else said, you can wear any hat.

And to back up Che, it will be straw season for awhile here.

STARS of STRAW!! Incredible weekend of them. I can't even pick a favorite!!

Late visit to cap off the week. My very first hat purchase, (that I can remember) 1969... Who needed a brim?!
