Alan HOW could she be a sophomore when (it must seem) just yesterday she was a toddler?! I know I feel that way about my "babies" sometimes. Sorry, kids!

All terrific tops today, and over the weekend, gentlemen!

Rainy weather allowed for some serious housekeeping... I found my VERY FIRST HAT purchase.
THIS was the first, from 1970. Bought mail order, from a real, printed-on-paper catalogue!

Ahoy Charlie, I think you need more caps!

Thanks for the nice comments on my photo with Lily bud, and congratulations to Andy as well. On the good days, there is nothing more rejuvenating than the nachas young people bring to life. And on the bad days, well, there is the anticipation of the good days. ;)

David - great hat and I like the 'man in black' look.

Andy - as Perry says - very dapper!

Perry - gorgeous Adam.

Charlie - great cap, you should wear them more often.

Sam - superb!

Joao - are you sure it's you under that beauty?

Seth - I don't envy you ;)

New Stetson "Original 47" foldable shantung.
Nice to finally find a straw hat with decent crown height (just over 5" at it's highest creased point). Kudos to Mr.Deckard and Stetson. Got this and a couple of others while visiting fellow Lounger Jeff (Jedwpbm) at Delmonicos. Chatted him and Mr. Delmonico for over an hour. Nice visit, nice people. Worth a stop if you're ever in the Yale vicinity.

Hat looks great on you. It was nice to have you and your wife in the store. You have a keeper there when you couldn't make up your mind she told you to buy both. Yup that's a keeper. Come visit again soon.

I visited your site to take a look at the Stetson "Original 47" foldable straw hat that Tommy K is wearing. For me, a few more pictures of that hat from different angles, front, back etc..., would be more helpful. Also, the crown height added in the description would be helpful too. I'm interested in this one. It looks nice from what I can see.

Nice hats, Alan and Andy. One more year for our daughter at Drexel. She's on coop in Manhatten for the next 6 months, so she's very happy!

Hatto - that's a great looking Adam.

Charlie - you look good in the cap.

Sam - that knice Knox is right up there with your best hats

Joao - yeah, that will keep you out of the sun.

Seth - smart move, waiting outside Walmart. Nice thin ribbon

David - great hat and I like the 'man in black' look.

Thanks, Richard. I had to go to a funeral today; hence all the black. Actually, I wear black a lot of the time, but it was appropriate for today. Nice Squatter!

Crazy Dave - nice F IV and mobile feather

tommyK - I liek the 47

Harv - that is a very cool M XV (good day for Roman numerals it seems!)

Mike - very nice photo with your Mum. Looks like a perfect location for lunch
