ManofKent I'm very fond of the Akubras (as are You obviously). I have the Tawny Fed as well, the color goes well with a lot. They're what I recommend to first time hat buyers. Great price/value, very comfortable sweatbands and as durable as anything.

When I got a Nutria, a No1 Quality, a 60-70's wide brim western Stetson, this one almost fall forgotten. 4x Stetson I got from Randall.

Richard - the Tawny Fed is one of my favorite hats. I've kept the brim as tall as possible on mine. It's big, but not as big as this Squatter I'm wearing.

The felt on my recent VS is dove, the ribbon a dark gray. Art's work is indeed excellent and he's a pleasure to deal with.
