My wife has been watching my hat purchases with a cautious eye, but when she saw this picture she told me that I *need* to get an inexpensive red hat in order to make something similar for an upcoming Christmas party. I've actually received my wife's blessing to buy another hat! Thanks, John Galt.

I think I paid $5-$15 for it, shipped. Figured it was worth it as a novelty hat, and in decent felt, to boot. See what she thinks of THIS 4x rodeo queen hat that I tweaked for another holiday. My 2-year old little girl had the complimentary costume...

Guess it's not too late for me then. Here's the slightly furry Cervo I'm wearing in "the" (westcoast) city today. Poor pic, but it's near black brown, black ribbon, unreeded. Can't really date it because they seem to "make 'em like they used to." I like this one a lot.
