Great hat and shirt. At this point, I know even less about clothing than I do hats. Is that shirt retro or something I might be able to buy from a retailer? I've got to have one.

Thanks for the compliments, and welcome to the lounge! The shirt is an Arc'teryx Envoy, which was in production between 2005 and 2009, and is unfortunately no longer available.

My two favorite outdoor performance clothing companies, Arc'teryx, and especially the much smaller Ibex, tend to produce very high quality pieces in limited runs, despite consumer demand, and so we tend to buy multiples of pieces that we like, in every assortment of color, before production ceases.

You may have to scour the secondary market or contact the online merchants directly to see if they have any remaining stock or returned items.

Lovely photos! :)

Thank you, my friend. :)

Thank you for the welcome and the information. A day late and a dollar short has been the story of my life. I'll look around though. I buy a lot of outdoor type clothing as well, typically from L.L. Bean or Orvis, when I find something on sale that I like.

Thanks Bob. Hey that's a good question. I usually just grab the hat I feel like wearing.

If it is warm it would be one the the lighter weight felt ones or my lonely Panama. If raining or snowing, usually my Campdraft.

I don't have a huge hat collection, so not that many to choose from.

Aha, so is the Playboy Stetson a lighter weight felt?

Like David stated, lighter weight & lighter colors for the warmer weather.
Straws are great for hot, sunny days if they let your head breathe but finely woven Panamas can be as warm as felt.
Also, depends on what you are wearing clothes-wise.
I have a VS Custom, ArtLite, natural colored beaver with vent holes.
It is as cool as a vented, straw hat, cooler than a Sun Body palm leaf.
The color goes with most everything since it is so neutral.
Basic answer = it depends....

Thanks. I have a finely woven Panama and it sure is hot up there.
Would you mind posted a pic of that Artlite?
