You photo journals are beautifully told. Your Freak Show reminds me that I meant to but never read Leslie Fielder's Freaks: Myths and Images of the Secret Self, which was written during his high profile tenure as UB English professor. I was mesmerized by the Tod Browning movie as a kid.

Felt is super nice, and other than the ribbon being just slightly loose the hat looks like it could have been made yesterday.

Wore my Black Squatter I got a couple of weeks ago today. Was nice and cool so back to a felt

The last few days here in Arkansas have been rainy and stormy so for a nice sunny afternoon
I wore my work straw Stetson Whippet for some yard work.
I just about wore it out last summer so its sweat stained and now is a work hat.
Dont mind the leaves, I have trees.

Good thing you have a spare. Still my favor hat Hatco/Stetson has produced in modern times.

In other news, as expected Mr Hatophile sent damp Ohio weather over to New Hampshire.

Fortunatly, this local resident was equipped with a Campdraft, a good weapon in the fight against nasty weather.
