Well, the Texas weather is back to its normal scorching heat, so---its Panama time! Okay, it's only a Stetson Retro, but I like it and it's a good lid for wearing to church.

RBH, I just checked a straw Whippet out yesterday at the Hatco Outlet in Garland. I tried to snap the brim down, but it was so stiff (almost brittle) I thought it would break. Did you encounter this with yours? Was it easy to soften with steam?

I did not use anything, just eased it down all around.
But yes the Whippet is stiff, but I dont mind that about it. I just think it will make it last a little longer, I wear my hats... I really mean wear!

Getting better and better every day! :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

But the jacket makes me wonder what temperatures you have in NorCal? Yesterday it was approx. 102°F here in Berlin and a jacket like that would have killed me within twenty minutes. Like it, though (the jacket, not the temperature).

It's been getting to about the mid 70's during the afternoon, Mario. In the mornings it is in the low 50's. I live on the coast and it is foggy every morning and cool. The jacket is perfect. Just right. It comes off in the afternoon though.:)

You know you look sharp in the BW photo Redwoodjedi, so why bother with the color ;)

You're right, WineGuy. I post the color ones so that folks can see what the vintage clothing looked like but most here already know. So, I will post just the Film Noir shots for a while. They are fun and moody. Thanks for the tip, big guy!:)

Managed to lock myself out of the house today minutes before a huge rainstorm came in...luckily I was wearing my weatherproof jacket and Squatter. Found the spare key a little while later. :)

Keep'em coming Red, the BW shot's are spot on. I don't have a full sized mirror at work nor a tripod for my camera so it's been difficult to post pics of my own.
